Caleb Jayden Wilson was a radiant soul whose joy, faith, and brilliance lit up every space he entered. With a smile that lifted spirits and a heart tuned to service, Caleb lived with intention—grounded in love, driven by purpose, and devoted to uplifting others.
Born to Corey Sr. and Urania Wilson in Kenner, Louisiana, Caleb’s journey was shaped by deep spiritual roots. Baptized at age six at Pilgrim Baptist Church, he found joy in prayer, gospel music, and community service—living out his faith with grace and conviction.
Music was one of Caleb’s earliest and most powerful expressions. As a trumpet player, he marched with pride and soul, embodying the heartbeat of New Orleans. From Hynes Elementary to Warren Easton High School, and through programs like The Roots of Music and the Trombone Shorty Academy, Caleb’s talent and dedication left a lasting impression. His dream came true when he joined the Southern University Human Jukebox, performing on national stages including the Bayou Classic and Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome.
Beyond the music, Caleb was a scholar and changemaker. As a junior mechanical engineering major at Southern University Baton Rouge and a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, he was passionate about innovation, mentorship, and building a future where others could thrive.
Today, the Caleb Wilson Foundation carries forward his legacy—empowering youth through education, leadership, and faith. Caleb’s life reminds us to lead with courage, love boldly, and serve with joy.
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
